Check out the YouTube video reviews of the 'Pet Shop' and you will see most agree this is the best Creator build. Since we purchased this one and the Expert Winter Village Cottage based on YouTube video reviews, I can only say they were both every bit as satisfying as we had expected. Bonus: the sets will probably go out of production in a few years and become valuable to collectors (think double). What other toys can you enjoy and then sell for considerably more than you paid, allowing you to move on to the next generation?

This is my first Lego modular. I must say this was a real treat to put together. I completed at my leisure over 3 night span. There were 3 missing pieces in my set, but they were common and I found replacements in my extra pieces. I ordered the replacement pieces from Lego anyway.Lego is very good about replacements. This set is highly detailed and pretty big once complete.
For the video game, see 5700 LEGO Creator. The Modular Buildings also include minifigures, unlike most Creator sets, and the sets are to the standard. LEGO Creator Expert sets have a singular focus of their build and are more challenging than 3-in-1 sets. They have between 1,000 and 5,000 pieces and are usually designed for kids ages 12 and up. The most advanced Creator Expert sets are actually listed for ages 16 and above.
I love the building aesthetics. I have just order the Pet Shop and will probably get the Parisian Restaurant as well when I save up a little more. This has become a new hobby. Yes the sets are expensive but the display value and use of very interesting building techniques are well worth the price of admission.
I'm 33 years old.found my way back to Lego about 3 years ago and it has been a very fun journey. I've left my. Great set, kids and I are very happy with it. Being someone who loved Lego's as a kid, my 4-year old son received a small Lego set for his birthday two years ago.
Since then, he (and I) have purchased several (many) more sets. Some of the sets (including this Lego Tower Bridge) were specifically for me (as I rekindle my love of Lego's), and this set is definitely at the top of my list of favorite sets. Some of the newer sets separate pieces into numbered bags, whereas this one doesn't (it's a LOT of pieces to be mixed together). That said, I've enjoyed the piece searches and/or the organizing of pieces to make for an easier build process, and it certainly doesn't take away from the rating. Some people have mentioned that it's a double-build for the towers (it is), but each tower is so complex in the number of steps and pieces. An interesting set, if feeling a little pricey for its size. There isn't much play/figure space inside the buildings, you'd need to partly disassemble the sets to put figures inside.
While the alternate models aren't bad, they tend to leave a lot of pieces behind-Only the main kit really uses a bulk of the pieces, sadly. It looks nice enough with the high-end modular city sets, but may be best left in its own little neighborhood. Happilt the building(s) here aren't facades as I first thought, but buildings that can open up and be explored a bit.
